From Wednesday 23 to Saturday 26 August, we celebrated one year of Soho House Copenhagen with a series of events and an art installation produced by Lulu Kaalund and Creator Projects.

The celebrations kicked off with the unveiling of Kaalund’s crochet artwork boat installation ‘Sea Untitled’ by director of Creator Projects, Simon Friese, and Head of Communications at Soho House Copenhagen, Tina Ateljevic. Displayed in front of the House to mark the anniversary, the boat was used as a space for music sets, drinks and workshops, powered by Porsche.

On Wednesday evening, guests were invited to the Drawing Room with drinks served by Copenhagen Distillery, followed by an art talk by Friese. At the same time, some of our members enjoyed a live performance by Danish musician Croatian Amor (from Posh Isolation) on the boat, hosted by Kaalund. Everyone then came together at the end of the night for drinks and a DJ in the House.

On Thursday, the boat was open for public viewing, and on Friday we hosted a special birthday party with Peaches. Drinks were served onboard by Copenhagen Distillery, along with a DJ. At 9pm, the crowd moved to the Drawing Room, where the party got going with RYUK’s DJ set and a live performance by electro-clash icon and performance artist, Peaches.

Later in the evening, Housefrau party collective took over with some high-energy house and techno. The Harbour Room was transformed into a ‘Boiler Room’ with amapiano, afrobeat, hip-hop and R&B sets, courtesy of Copenhagen’s resident DJs, including HARTY, Oscar Bjerrehuus, and Anker.

The final day of celebrations involved a crochet workshop for members on the boat with Danish crochet designer and author Rose Svane. For two hours, guests enjoyed making their own creations with Svane’s guidance.
