This year, we’re celebrating 20 years of Soho House in North America. Since our first US outpost – Soho House New York – opened its doors back in 2003, our Houses have provided inspiring spaces for creatives to meet, work and have fun. But what is a space without its decor? From Nashville to New York, each of our Houses has been carefully designed to consider the history of its location and the architecture of its setting, all while creating a welcoming place for members to relax with a Picante or two.

DUMBO House
Mexican architect Luis Barragán’s use of colour was a huge inspiration for the Soho House design team who worked on DUMBO House, tucked away on the edge of New York’s East River. This influence is easy to spot throughout the club: playful pink concrete on the rooftop bar, as well as lots of rich velvet furnishings in purple, ochre and teal. You’ll also find rose-tinted Juliana chandeliers dotted throughout the House. Featuring pink-toned, scalloped glass tubular sections, this piece is mouth-blown and hand-finished by skilled artisans in Venice.

Much of DUMBO’s design pays homage to the 1960s and 1970s. Think: thick pile rugs, wicker furnishings, and Soho Home’s Garret armchair in boucle upholstery. Inviting you to sink into its comfortable curves, it’s a favourite for good reason.

Soho House Holloway
The interior design of Soho House Holloway is a tribute to 1960s California – a period when artists like David Hockney and Bruce Nauman made Los Angeles their home, drawn to the city for its light and inspiring landscapes. 

As such, mid-century details can be spotted all over the House, which provides the inspiration for Soho Home’s Carlisle vanity range. Crafted from solid oak and a black or white Marquina marble top, the ribbed finish and rounded corners pay homage to the vintage-inspired aesthetic and geometric shapes of the House. Choose from the single vanity unit or the double sink version – both come with plenty of storage and provide a natural focal point for your bathroom.

Soho House Nashville
‘When thinking about the way Nashville feels, there’s grit and soul, but also an element of glamour,’ explains Soho House Lead Designer, Harriet Liley. ‘It’s the home of country music, so while its landscape and colour tones are warm and earthy, the people who have played here are pretty much music royalty.’ 

This duality can be found in Soho Home’s Benedict Bar Cabinet, which nods to the relaxed bar at Soho House Nashville. A warm mix of solid oak, solid walnut and oak burl veneer juxtapose an Art Deco-inspired design and curved shape. Open it up to reveal a pull-out bar top that’s guaranteed to impress your guests.

Soho Warehouse
Located in a former storage warehouse, which later housed artists’ lofts and recording studios, our Downtown LA club’s interior celebrates artistry in all its forms – including the lighting. Seen throughout the House is the Lorenzo chandelier, handcrafted by skilled artisans. The white swirl design within each disc is achieved by injecting colour into the glass piece by piece, before they’re shaped by hand and mounted onto tiered, antique brass arms.

Soho House Austin
Throughout Soho House Austin’s three bright and airy floors, members will find a mix of vintage furniture, specially designed pieces and artists’ contributions that celebrate the city’s local creative community. Much of the textiles used throughout the club feature oversized, Ikat-inspired patterns, providing the inspiration for Soho Home’s Alderton rug. Hand-knotted in India, its vibrant colour palette of rust and red tones brings warmth to any space, with a wool pile for plenty of comfort underfoot.
