Soho House Design Prize
The inaugural Soho House Design Prize is our new global initiative in partnership with Genesis Motor America, created to support emerging designers. We are looking for up-and-coming talent in furniture, product design, architecture, landscaping, light, sound, VR, and more. We encourage submissions that celebrate simplicity, stand the test of time, and make lives better. Priority will be given to environmentally conscious ideas that use sustainable materials.
‘It would be amazing to see candidates from backgrounds that challenge the accepted canon of pedigree within each field. Design and architecture must be as open as possible to the unexpected’
Alex Josephson, cofounder of Partisans
How to apply
Applications are now closed.
If you’re an emerging designer*, pitch an idea for a site-specific creation for one of our Houses in North America. Your idea can take the form of any design discipline. It needs to be rooted in simplicity and sustainability, and stand the test of time.
A panel of experts will shortlist 10 finalists to receive mentorship from industry leaders, including Thomas Heatherwick, Lucy Hardcastle, and Alex Josephson. They’ll be invited to the closing ceremony in Los Angeles to showcase their ideas. The Soho House Design Prize winner will receive US$30,000 to bring their idea to life with our support.
*Those in the first three to five years of a design practice.
